Overview: Join Infinigear Robotics in our mission to revolutionize EV mobility. We seek a skilled Transmission Engineer to join our team, focusing on the development and optimization of the AI robotic gear systems. This role is critical in designing and improving the mechanical components that enable our systems to operate efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, simulate, and test transmission systems for AI-powered robots, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate transmission systems with electrical and software components.
  • Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting of gear systems, implementing solutions to enhance durability and efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in robotic gear technology, applying innovative approaches to design challenges.
  • Document design processes, tests, and analysis results, ensuring clear communication of technical information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years proven experience in transmission or gear system design, preferably in robotics or a similar high-tech industry.
  • Proven application of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes including:
    • A strong understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles is essential. This includes knowledge of mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, materials science, and machine design.
    • In-depth knowledge of transmission systems, including gear types, gear ratios, clutch systems, torque converters, differential mechanisms, and drivetrain layouts.
    • Understanding of gear design principles, including gear tooth profiles, gear meshing, contact stresses, and gear manufacturing processes. Ability to design gears that meet performance requirements and reliability standards.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
