Key Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced engineering principles to design, analyze, and troubleshoot mechanical systems, tools, engines, and machines, ensuring their efficient operation and maintenance.
- Lead in the development of mechanical systems and assemblies, focusing on drivetrain components, servo motors, sensors, and safety mechanisms, with an emphasis on reliability and performance.
- Oversee the product lifecycle from kitting and prototyping to production, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and software components, enhancing system compatibility and performance.
- Provide hands-on supervision in mechanical prototyping and the construction of automated equipment and robots, drawing on a solid understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical devices used in automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally within the robotics or automation industry.
- Expertise in SolidWorks 3D modeling software and proficiency in thermal and fluid analysis.
- Experience in creating detailed engineering drawings for fabrication and assembly.
- Demonstrated ability in leading projects that involve mechanical prototyping and the development of automated equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
